Baby Must Haves Series: Going out! A day at the aquarium.
Hey Beauties! Life has been so busy lately so it’s been a while since I posted on here (hashtag mom life) BUT that is why I’m so excited to introduce a new blog series I will be doing! It will be called the “Baby Must Have Series!” In these blog posts I’ll feature my favorite baby products that are must haves for anywhere and everywhere life might take you with your little! I can’t wait to share all of my favorite companies, tips, tricks, and products with you because I believe our babies deserve the BEST! And us mom’s deserve to have things that make life just a little bit easier for us! 😉
For my first post in this series I wanted to share things that make going out with a babe easier! We headed to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium with my bff Jessica, from Jessica E. Photography, to get some shots of these awesome products in action! I want to show you all that these products really are as great as I say they are! Because let’s be honest, going out with a baby can be really scary for the first time (or every time 🙈!) Whether you’re going somewhere exciting like the Aquarium, or just to the grocery store there is so much you have to bring and worry about. So here’s what I’ve found makes things a whole lot less stressful!
- Baby Wrap From Tuck and Bundle
I absolutely LOVE baby wearing. If your child is anything like mine, they need to be held 24/7, and my -not so strong- arms just can’t handle that! Especially walking around somewhere like the aquarium! So being able to hold Reed close without actually holding him is amazing. He loved walking around the aquarium and seeing all the animals without being strapped in the stroller or his car seat. I use our wrap whenever we go out! It’s just so convenient to keep him calm and hold him, but keep my hands free to do what I need. Wearing your baby while grocery shopping is the only way to do it! I can push the cart, grab my groceries, AND have room for everything in my cart without Reed in the basket in his car seat screaming his head off!😅 Yeah we’ve all been there! I absolutely love this wrap from Tuck and Bundle because it’s a super soft, stretchy, and lightweight material. So I never feel uncomfortable when I’m wearing it. It also doesn’t get too hot because it is so thin and lightweight. Which is huge for me because I have the sweatiest baby ever! 😂 I also love that it’s not bulky like a lot of carriers are. It’s just been so great for small outings and big vacations like when we went to Disneyland. I wore Reed in the wrap most of the time and it was so fun being able to see his face as he experienced Disney for the first time! The wrap gives a lot of support too and carries most of the weight so I was able to carry him around Disney in it for much longer. Eventually I did get tired, but I was able to carry him for much longer than I thought I would be able to!
I would definitely recommend getting a wrap from Tuck and Bundle for any outings or vacations you’ll be taking with your babe! Trust me it will be a lifesaver. AND because I love you all so much use this code at checkout “SIERRA10” for 10% off and FREE priority shipping! You can check out all the differently styles Tuck and Bundle has to offer HERE!
- Backpack Diaper Bag from Kiki Lu Designs
Diaper bags and babies go together like peanut butter and jelly! And the right diaper bag can make ALL the difference! Especially because I feel like we have to pack our entire house anytime we leave! 😅 For that reason I’m obsessed with our Diaper Bag from Kiki Lu Designs. I love that it’s a backpack style so I don’t have to juggle carrying it along with Reed (and my daily Dr. Pepper 😂) or worry about it slipping off my shoulder! Paired with my baby wrap I could conquer the world! Don’t have to carry my baby, don’t have to carry my diaper bag, it’s just a perfect combo. I swear it’s also a Mary poppins bag though! It’s a smaller design, but I can fit SO much stuff in it! I did not want to carry around a huge bag, but I like to be over prepared so I thought I was going to be stuck with a duffle bag! Luckily I found Kiki Lu and it’s been the perfect bag for me! + the faux leather is on the inside as well as the outside. Can you say easy to clean?? Especially when your travel sized baby shampoo spills in it! 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve also noticed how durable it is. We’ve taken this bag all over the place and it still looks brand new. I’m all about buying quality things though and this diaper bag is no exception! It’s definitely worth it to spend a little more to get this bag that’s going to last you such a long time, rather than get a super cheap bag you’ll have to keep replacing every few months! Check out the other cute colors Kiki Lu has and get one for yourself HERE. (ALSO watch for my next post in my “Baby Must Have” series on what I keep in my diaper bag at all times!)
- Silicone Teething Necklace from The Sweet Mint
Anyone else ever had their baby rip a necklace right off your neck before?? Or is that just my child!? 🙈 I’m a HUGE jewelry fan and love wearing necklaces. Those and hats are my staple accessories! After having Reed I haven’t been able to wear very much jewelry because he will chew on and break whatever I’m wearing. I’ve been SO sad about it until I found these ADORABLE necklaces from The Sweet Mint. They’re so cute and made of silicon beads that are safe for your babies to chew on! Mom win!! 🙌🏻 Reed has loved chowing down on this necklace anytime I wear it and I don’t have to worry about him breaking it or swallowing a tiny piece that can easilt be pulled off my regular jewelry. It also keeps him so entertained when I’m carrying him in my wrap. It’s perfect when we are out and about because he’s happy and distracted and I don’t have to try and entertain him the whole time!
The Sweet Mint also has other super cute teething toys and necklaces AND you can get 30% off any of their products with code “SPRING30” Run don’t walk to take advtage of this code while it lasts! Check them out HERE.
I’m so excited be doing this new blog series and sharing and reviewing my favorite baby items with you!
