Hey Beauties! Welcome to Sierra’s Beauties 2.0!! This project had been a LONG time coming and I’m so excited it’s finally finished and up and running! Let me tell you a little bit about why it’s been such a long process and why I’m so happy I don’t have to worry about it anymore! (Be prepared, you get the long version!)
When I started hair school I created an Instagram account to post about all the hair I was doing. It started out as Hair by Sierra, (so original right?) but as I finished up school and graduated I decided I wanted to make a real business out of this. So Around last summer Sierra’s Beauties was born. I changed my Instagram name and started hashtagging #sierrasbeauties everywhere I could! Things were going well and my small little hair business started to grow so I decided to make a blog! I signed up for blogger and started posting right away. It was fun to have somewhere to talk more freely about hair and say everything I wanted to say, but couldn’t in an Instagram post. (Seriously who actually reads the novel length captions anyway?) As my business grew more, and more I knew I had to get more professional and actually create a website and so in January of this year I started plans for Sierrasbeauties.com.
My sweet hubby worked at a company called Bluehost that hosts websites and sells domain names so he purchased my Domain name and helped me get started. He was determined to build my website himself and I was so excited that my dream was finally becoming a reality. Well Brandon was going through his last semester of college and as you can imagine he was insanely busy and my website always had to be last priority (like it should have been.) We finally decided after a few months that we should probably just hire someone to build my website because neither of us had the time. And so began my search for someone to build me the website of my dreams. I stared talking to website designers, but was not having any luck. After talking to three people that couldn’t do it I was ready to just give up on the whole idea. That’s when I found Kylee Ann Maughan. (Click her name to go to her website) She knew WordPress and had created some awesome sites already so I decided to give it another shot. An hour after Kylee started working on my site I got an email from her saying “an hour in and we are looking great it should be done soon!” I couldn’t believe it! Kylee finished my site in 3 1/2 hours and all in the same day. I cried when I saw it all finished. It was exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t have been happier. (I’m a baby I know!) Kylee was wonderful to work with and did everything exactly how I wanted. I am so glad I found her and would recommend her to anyone!! She finally made sierrasbeauties.com a reality for me!
I’m so dang excited to start this new adventure with all of you and hope you have as much fun as I do with this! I’d love to hear feedback from you about my new site and what you would like to see here on my blog. So please leave a comment or email me at email@example.com! Thanks for reading Beauties!
